# After an incredibly busy and positive start to the week

After an incredibly busy and positive start to the week, I could have kept working all night... instead this was the outcome.

I decided to close the laptop and take my son to football practice, and stay for entire time, so I could support him and sit in the sunshine to reset.

I may have taken a few moments to answer a few pressing emails, but 98% of the time I was present, and enjoying the time outside watching him and chatting to other parents.

This moment at the end of the game made it all worth while.

And of course I feel fresh, full of creativity and supercharged for a mega productive day.

The lesson is obvious, although it's amazing how easy it is to forget when you get caught up in things...

You need to prioritise time to rest, to change your perspective, and build connection with those that matter around you. The upside is always worth it.
